Scancor Seminars at Stanford University

The weekly formal seminar at Stanford is the occasion for presentations of research papers by Scancor scholars as well as Stanford faculty from various social science departments and professional schools at Stanford. There are occasional off-campus visitors who present as well. The seminar is based on a completed paper that is close to the stage of being ready for submission to an academic journal. The seminar participants critique the paper and provide the author with suggestions for revisions and future research.

In addition, there is a second, more informal seminar for Scancor scholars throughout the year, including summer. At this seminar, the scholars present early stage work in progress, primarily to an audience of Scancor researchers and other visiting scholars on campus, followed by discussion and feedback.

The formal Scancor seminar normally takes place Monday between 3 and 4:30 PM during the academic year.
